2017 Ft. Mitchell July 4th Parade Another Success

line

The weather was perfect as the City of Ft. Mitchell threw the 2017 version of its biggest party of the year. With co-Grand Marshals Beechwood Band and Football Team, both 2016 State Champions, leading the way in the Parade, spectators were in for a treat. This year’s parade featured a variety of new entries from the Cincinnati Dutch Lions soccer team sponsored by Mercedes Benz of Ft. Mitchell to a horse-drawn carriage with 92-year-old WWII vet Don Stegemoeller aboard.
From the roughly 80 or so entries, a panel of judges scored each one with winners in three categories. The ‘Most Patriotic’ award went to SRM Concrete. The ‘Most Creative’ award went to Mellow Mushroom. Finally, the ‘Best Overall’ award went to the always enthusiastic group from The Point/Arc.
Plans and ideas have already been tossed around, but you can be sure the 2018 July 4th Parade will be another great event! In the meantime, enjoy all the photographic memories from this year!
