Feast and Fantasy Football
Wyoming School Foundation Gala 2017
Submitted by the Wyoming School Foundation
- Co-chairs of the Wyoming School Foundation Feast and Fantasy Football 2017, Elise Foster and Camille Robinson were all smiles at the successful event!
- Alex Guest and Jeri Rominger worked tirelessly to make this event happen for the Wyoming School Foundation.
- Dancing to 2nd Wind was a crowd favorite.
- The evening had a live and silent auction that was supported by the crowds.
- Interpreting the theme was open to interpretation as this Fantasy Football table incorporated a fairy village playing the sport.
- This table was Bengals theme with a clever use of the candelabras for field goals.
- This year’s Wyoming School Foundation fundraising event returned to the Feast and Fantasy theme – adding a football theme for the Super Bowl weekend. Guests decorated their own tables in the theme of the evening – here the football theme centered on Wyoming Cowobys.
THANK YOU to everyone for joining the Wyoming School Foundation (WSF) for its annual gala event on February 4. This year, we brought back a little bit of nostalgia with Feast and Fantasy, and mixed in some Super Bowl excitement.
The table décor was creative, fun, and festive. The beautiful atmosphere at the Glendale Lyceum was perfect to mix, mingle, and fun-raise for a worthy cause.
Over the laughs and conversation, nearly 180 guests savored the tailgate menu provided by Chef’s Choice Catering. Three B’s Sweets complimented dessert with delicious artisan chocolates. After dinner, a large crowd filled the dance floor to enjoy the grooves of 2nd Wind.
At the event, Peter Guggenheim, WSF Ex Officio President, was honored with the distinction Emeritus Trustee for his years of leadership, service, and dedication to the Foundation. He joins a short list of esteemed Trustees with this honor.
Each year at the gala, the Foundation raises funds to touch the lives of primary, middle, and high school students. This year, generous contributions generated over $18,000 against a goal of $10,000 toward the new Emeritus Trustees Fund! The money raised will directly benefit the immediate needs of all Wyoming students.
Of course, the fantastic evening would not have been possible without the leadership of our co-chairs, Camille and Leonard Robinson and Elise and Chad Foster. With much gratitude, we also extend our thanks to our committee who worked tirelessly to help plan, gather auction items, and set up the event, and to our many sponsors and donors who made this event a huge success.
Support of Feast and Fantasy, as well as the Fund-A-Need Challenge, represents the generosity and belief in meeting the needs of Wyoming City Schools today, and in the future! Thank you!
Selected Emeritus Trustee, Wyoming School Foundation
Peter Guggenheim, Wyoming School Foundation’s sixteenth president, was awarded Emeritus Trustee at the Foundation’s annual fundraising gala, Feast and Fantasy, on February 4. The award was presented by WSF Emeritus Trustee, Terry G. Marty.
Emeritus Trustee is the highest honor to demonstrate the Foundation’s respect for long-term, significant leadership of a Trustee whose vision, devotion, and commitment have been central to the growth of the Foundation, and on whose efforts we stand and reach for the future.
Guggenheim has served the Foundation for 13 years in various capacities. Most recently, Guggenheim successfully led the capital campaign for renovating the Wyoming Middle School, raising $1.2 million in contributions.
In over fifty years of the Wyoming School Foundation's history, Guggenheim is only the seventh Trustee to earn the distinction Emeritus Trustee. He joins the following esteemed Trustees with this honor: Frank T. Purdy, Harry J. Weaks, Dorothy F. Mantel, Terry G. Marty, Dorothy Lang, and Scott Crooks.
