A Message to the Indian Hill High School Class of 2025

By Kirk Koennecke, CEO/Superintendent, Indian Hill Exempted Village School District

Indian Hill High School Class of 2025:

It is with immense pride and heartfelt admiration that I stand before you today. You are a class that has inspired us. You’ve set new standards. You’ve defined what it means to be leaders, not just in name, but in action, every single day over the past four years. As we gather to celebrate your remarkable journey, I want to reflect on two words that I believe capture the spirit of who you are and what you represent: Leadership and Home.

Leadership doesn’t always come with a title. It comes with choices made consistently and courageously. And you, Class of 2025, have led with integrity, resilience, and compassion.

We have marveled at your elite academic achievements, demonstrating excellence that sets the bar for classes to come. Your success has not been confined to the classroom, it has extended outward, into community service that speaks to the kind of citizens you are becoming. You’ve shown a willingness to give of yourselves to care deeply for others, and to act with purpose. That is leadership.

You’ve impressed us through unique artistic expressions that stirred emotion and sparked imagination; through career exploration experiences that gave us a glimpse of future innovators, entrepreneurs, educators, and changemakers; and through championship athletic moments that rallied this entire community. We will never forget the thrill of those victories and the grace with which you accepted defeat, always learning, always growing. That too is leadership.

Each one of you has left an indelible mark on The Hill.

Indian Hill has been more than a place where you studied or competed. It has been your home.

And home is more than a location, it’s a feeling. A foundation. A launching pad. It’s where values are instilled, friendships are forged, and dreams begin to form. It’s where you found mentors who challenged and supported you. It’s where your voice was heard, your talent was nurtured, and your potential was recognized.

No matter where your journey takes you from here, I hope you carry Indian Hill with you—because this home is always yours. Always.

Today isn’t just about celebrating how far you’ve come. It’s about being inspired to become the leaders our world so desperately needs and always remembering the place where it all began.

Congratulations, Class of 2025. We believe in you. We are proud of you. And we will always be your home.

You are and always will be Braves.

In service to you,

Kirk Koennecke

CEO/Superintendent

Indian Hill School District
