Beinekes Named Grand Marshals of Fort Thomas Independence Day Parade

Longtime community volunteers Deanna and Jim Beineke have been named Grand Marshals of the 2025 Fort Thomas Independence Day Parade.

The Beinekes were selected for their decades of service to the city, including roles on various municipal boards, contributions to the Fort Thomas Museum, and involvement in local events. The couple has also been instrumental in preserving and sharing the city’s history.

Deanna Beineke recently authored From Peach Orchard to Park, a local best-seller chronicling the evolution of Fort Thomas from its military roots to the development of Tower Park. The book has been praised for its detailed storytelling and historical insight.

This year’s parade theme, “Honoring Our History,” reflects the Beinekes’ deep commitment to celebrating and preserving Fort Thomas’s past. Organizers say the couple embodies the spirit of the theme through both their civic engagement and passion for local heritage.

The Fort Thomas Independence Day Parade is set for July 4, featuring floats, performances, and community groups, with the Beinekes leading the procession as honored guests.
