Holiday Tradition at The Barn

The Barn in Mariemont has announced this year’s vendors for the 2025 Showcase of Arts Holiday sale to be held December 6 and 7. Forty local artists and artisans will fill the 1920’s era dairy barn at 6980 Cambridge Avenue. This curated event is known for high quality and uniqueness of creative works.

Event coordinator Jan Boone explained “Our goal is to showcase a wide variety of work by local artists that is typically not seen under one roof. For instance, wood creations by Jerry Warner of Ft. Thomas, Kentucky are turned on a lathe. Milford woodworker Tim Armstrong brings finely crafted wooden furniture, cutting boards and holiday decorative pieces. We have three potters this year: Dennis Allen from Lebanon is bringing functional country pottery in beautiful green and blue glazes. Karen Eberhardt creates delicate porcelain vases and popular tree-shaped candle holders, and new this year is Gabrielle Nappo from Madeira who makes whimsical bowls and trays.”

Other artists who are new to the show this year include Sandra Butterworth and her handbags made from tapestry fabrics, Melinda Grisco with a popular children’s book, Steve Kosztala’s hand crafted kaleidoscopes, Millicent Larson’s cuddly dolls called “Tinkers”, Laura Pipitone with Oakley Soaps, Elizabeth Ross’s nature prints, Therese Waldbillig’s ‘living walls’ felted planters, and Jessica Wolf’s Paper Acorn mobiles. Returning artists include seven jewelers with pieces made from silver, leather, semi-precious stones, vintage sequins and paper. Also returning are metal sculptors Karen and Kevin Houtchens from Lawrenceburg, Indiana, mosaic artist Sandy Caruso of Mariemont, and fiber artists with knit and sewn items. Holiday shoppers can also pick up honey from Moody Family Apiaries based in Moscow, Ohio, or baked goods by Bet’s Sweets & Treats from Batavia. This event is sponsored by the Woman’s Art Club of Cincinnati Foundation and admission is free to the public. Showcase hours are Saturday, December 6, from 10am – 5pm and Sunday, December 7 from noon-5:00pm.
