Anna Podojil (Class of 2019)

Anna Podojil was the 2017 Ohio Female Soccer Player of the Year, leading Indian Hill to the Ohio Division II state title while going undefeated at 22-0-1. Podojil set Indian Hill records for goals in a season (38) and a career (112). She was the 2019 Ohio Champion in the 400 meters and the 4×400-meter relay and also won the 200-meter title as a sophomore in 2017 as she earned nine overall All-State accolades and broke five school records during her time at Indian Hill.

Podojil was a four-year starter in soccer at Arkansas and set the school record for career goals (50) and points (135) while leading the Razorbacks to 5 straight NCAA Tournaments. She was the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Year, a five-time All-SEC honoree and a three time United Soccer Coaches All-American. Additionally, Podojil ran track for Arkansas as a graduate student.

Anna Podojil was drafted by the Washington Spirit of the National Women’s Soccer League in 2023 but chose to pursue a career in nursing. She is a Clinical Documentation Specialist RN at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.

Coach Susan Savage

Coach Susan Savage began her coaching career at Indian Hill in 1990 as a girls basketball head coach before taking over the cross country program in 1991 and the track and field program in 1992. Savage was named the Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches Coach of the Year in girls cross country in January 2024.

Coach Savage led the Indian Hill girls to the 2019 Division II state track and field championship. In the process, Elizabeth Whaley, Ellie and Anna Podojil, and Meghan O’Brien set the state record in the 1600-meter relay.

Coach Savage served the Braves for more than three decades as a chemistry teacher and coach. Coach Savage was a four-year letter winner at West Virginia University and continued to train and compete in road races and triathlons in recent years.

Coach Larry Ely

One of the most beloved coaches in Indian Hill history, Coach Larry Ely coached more than 800 games as a middle school head coach and a high school assistant. After a 47-game middle school winning streak, Coach Ely set a participation record with 85 players on an eighth-grade football team.

Coach Ely was an All-American linebacker at the University of Iowa before being drafted by Paul Brown and the Cincinnati Bengals. After several seasons in the NFL and WFL, Coach Ely worked in the financial services industry.

Denny Dupps, IHTN

Denny Dupps began his teaching career at Indian Hill High School in 1969 and, while retiring last school year from his teaching role, he continues to lead the Indian Hill Television Network as an executive producer of district productions, which has always been under his direction while streaming thousands of events, including live athletic games, arts performances, and Board of Education meetings. While teaching and coaching at Indian Hill High School, Denny Dupps has continued to be on the cutting edge of technology, producing live school events in a manner that exceeds expectations and is well beyond peer performance.
