The Fort Thomas Forest Conservancy (FTFC) will host its annual Earth Day Celebration in Tower Park on April 26 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The year’s first big city celebration is also the largest Earth Day event in Northern Kentucky. Earth Day offers the opportunity to bring people together to celebrate nature, to play, and to learn more about living in ways that will sustain our environment for generations to come.
This free, family-friendly event celebrates Earth Day and is meant to inspire environmental stewardship in our community that brings together residents, local organizations, businesses, and volunteers to learn, celebrate, and take action for a healthier planet. The event showcases the spirit of Earth Day — a global movement observed by over one billion people each year — with interactive, educational, and engaging activities.

A sampling of what guest can expect includes Interactive booths hosted by environmental nonprofits, sustainability experts, and eco-friendly businesses.

Home Grown on Haubner Hill will demonstrate the connection between the five senses and working with dried flowers. Guests will be encouraged to engage with local conservationists to discover new ways to live a little bit greener.
Chris Rust, local chainsaw artist, will carve one of his nature-based creations during the event which will then be later auctioned to the highest bidder. The auction will begin at the Earth Day event and run for the following two weeks.
April is when native ephemeral flowers bloom. Len Beck will lead a special native wildflower walk through the woods of Tower Park where participants will see many of the remarkable and beneficial plants to the area. The walk begins at 11:00 and will last about an hour.
