VIVA VOICES GALA CELEBRATES 5TH ANNIVERSARY

Viva Voices Choral Organization commemorated its 5th Anniversary with a Gala Celebration on April 26^th at Cincinnati Music Hall Ballroom. Over 500 singers, supporters and community members gathered to celebrate the remarkable growth and achievements of the organization over its first five years.

The event was hosted by Elaine Diehl, WGUC Classical Music Host and Producer. Attendees heard performances by four Viva Voices choirs: the Adult Chorale, Chamber Ensemble, Youth Chorus and the Children’s Choir. The event also included a silent auction, refreshments and a jazz band.

Tony Burdette, Founding President and Artistic Director, announced the choirs will perform both nationally and internationally this summer. Viva Voices youth will represent our region at the nation’s 250^th Birthday Celebration in Washington, D. C. with two performances. One will be in Washington’s National Cathedral and another on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. Viva Voices adult choirs were invited once again to sing at the International Choral Festival. This summer’s Festival will be in Salzburg, Austria. Another announcement was the creation of a fifth choir—a Youth Chamber Ensemble. Viva Voices’ mission is to “Share the Joy of Singing with All.”

This multi-generational choral organization was founded in Northern Kentucky. The group attracts singers from ages 8 to 80+ from all over the Tri-State. For more information see: www.vivavoices.net
