IH ARTS CONSERVATORY: Indian Hill High School Digital Arts Earns National Recognition

Braves honored with national award at student television network competition

The Indian Hill School District and the Indian Hill Arts Conservatory celebrate Indian Hill High School students Addy Ritzmann, Kelsey Rosenfeld, and Stella Bosley for earning the school’s first-ever national recognition during the annual Student Television Network (STN) Nationals competition. The prestigious national competition includes thousands of student journalists, media arts programs, and broadcast schools from across the country.

“This moment validates the direction and philosophy of the program,” said Indian Hill High School media arts instructor Brandon Nelson. “Our students will continue to raise the bar every year. Earning national recognition in our first attempt shows what’s possible when you combine high expectations with real student ownership, voice and agency. When students are part of a competitive, team-based environment, they stop working for a grade and start working for each other. That shift is what drives true engagement and pushes the quality of their work to another level.”

The award-winning feature which earned third place in the Human-Interest Feature Story category, “Daniel Buford and the Underground Railroad,” aired during the February 27 episode of Braves Beat, produced in the Indian Hill Television Network (IHTN) studio at Indian Hill High School. The accomplishment highlights the exceptional opportunities available through the Indian Hill Arts Conservatory’s Digital Arts program.

“This national recognition is an outstanding accomplishment for our students and a testament to the innovation and excellence happening within the Indian Hill Arts Conservatory Digital Arts program,” said Indian Hill Superintendent Dr. Melissa Stewart. “Our students are gaining real-world experience, developing professional-level storytelling skills, and demonstrating the creativity, collaboration, and leadership that define an Indian Hill education. We are incredibly proud of Addy, Kelsey, Stella and the entire IHTN team.”
