Kindling a Fire LIVE: Rob Zimmerman on Tech, Schools, and What Parents Need to Know Now

The community is invited to hear from educational leader Rob Zimmerman at a complimentary event at Indian Hill Church on Sunday, October 18th, 4pm-6pm. This is part of IHC’s Good Neighbor Series and is open to all.

Zimmerman is starting his sixth year as Head of School at Cincinnati Country Day School and many may have read his regular column “Kindling a Fire” in Indian Hill Living. A former lawyer with Dinsmore, he has increased the school’s focus on teaching techniques grounded in the science of learning, advocated for a more cautious approach to educational technology (including the region’s first bell-to-bell smartphone ban), prioritized civil discourse and institutional neutrality.

Parents and community members with students in any grade or school system are encouraged to attend and bring questions for discussion. Light refreshments. Childcare will be available with a reservation.  For more information visit indianhillchurch.org. To RSVP or ask questions, email RSVP-IHC@indianhillchurch.org.  Kindly respond by October 11th for planning purposes.

The Good Neighbor Series is an initiative of Indian Hill Church focused on building community through shared learning, discussion and social engagement.
