Mae Annabel Younger, 12, of Fort Thomas, passed away peacefully in her bed on Thursday, September 3, 2026.
Mae lived life in full color, and she made every room brighter for having been in it. Her joy was contagious and reached friends and strangers alike.
She approached each day with a zest that showed in everything she did. She was a busy girl living life enjoying ballet, horseback riding, bowling, music, and her weekly Sunday outings with her beloved Gramps.
More than anything, Mae had a gift for reminding the people around her what truly mattered. She helped those closest to her slow down, notice the beauty in the world, and hold on to what’s important.
Her light left a lasting mark on the many caregivers, teachers, assistants, and classmates who knew her at Redwood, Woodfill Elementary, and Highlands Middle School. All of whose lives are better and fuller for having known her.
She is survived by her loving parents, Bradley & Elizabeth (nee. Peterman) Younger; brother, Austin Younger; maternal grandparents, Roger & Mary Peterman; paternal grandmother, Judy Fortune; paternal grandfather, Benny (Connie) Younger; aunts, Tina (Josh) Hubert, Kelly (David) Rich & Brandi (Paul) Markham; uncles, Rob (Allison) Peterman & Michael Eller.
A visitation for Mae was held on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at the Fort Thomas Mess Hall followed by a service. Mae was laid to rest in St. Stephen Cemetery, Ft. Thomas.
